On Sunday, March 15, 2026, a new chapter began for First Baptist Church Woodstock as it launched its newest location: Mission Church Roswell Street, located in Marietta, Georgia. 

Formerly known as Roswell Street Baptist Church, this new congregation is dedicated to spreading the gospel and transforming lives, starting with the Marietta community and reaching out to the world. With a vibrant, multiethnic congregation and a deep passion for the mission of making disciples, Mission Church is already making a significant impact in Cobb County.

Under the leadership of location pastor Christian Norman, Mission Church Roswell Street is committed to loving those in Marietta and welcoming individuals from all walks of life into the fold. Mission Church Roswell Street strives to be more than just a place to attend services, but a place where attendees can belong, grow, and serve. 

“For us, this new name and relaunch are just the beginning,” said Christian. “We want to truly embrace this new opportunity God has placed before us in Marietta, and we look forward to the ways that He will continue to use this church to build on the legacy of Roswell Street Baptist Church.”

As the primary leader of the new church location, Christian serves under the leadership of Pastor Jeremy Morton, the Lead Pastor of First Baptist Church Woodstock. Pastor Jeremy’s vision for First Baptist Church Woodstock, and by extension Mission Church Roswell Street, emphasizes reaching the lost, making disciples, and planting churches that multiply the impact of the gospel.

“Mission Church Roswell Street is a vital part of our vision moving forward at First Baptist Woodstock,” said Pastor Jeremy. “We’re excited to see how God will use this new location to reach the community and beyond. Our prayer and hope is that through Christian’s leadership, the church will continue to be a beacon of hope and truth in Marietta.”

The church’s opening marks the continuation of First Baptist Church Woodstock’s commitment to growing its presence beyond the Woodstock area, creating community and offering a place for those looking to deepen their faith and becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. 

Prior to his accepting of this new call, Pastor Christian served as an Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church Woodstock since April 2020.  His passion for helping others find their purpose in Christ is evident in his teaching and in the way he shepherds the people of Mission Church Roswell Street.

Mission Church Roswell Street offers opportunities for individuals and families to get involved in Life Groups, Kids and Student Ministries, and more. Whether people are new to the faith or have been walking with Jesus for years, Mission Church is dedicated to providing a space where everyone can grow and thrive.

Service times at Mission Church Roswell Street are designed to make it easy for individuals and families to participate in both worship and community life. Life Groups and Kids & Student Ministries are offered at 9:30AM, followed by the main worship service at 11:00AM. This schedule allows for families to engage in meaningful ministry, grow together, and participate in worship as a community.

“One of our primary focuses is creating opportunities for people to connect in smaller, intimate settings,” Christian Norman explained. “Life Groups are an important part of our church’s culture. They provide a place where people can come together to study God’s Word, pray for each other, and support one another in their journey with Jesus.”

One key area of focus is the church’s involvement in local outreach through its Women’s Pregnancy Center and ESL (English as a Second Language) ministries, which are designed to serve families and individuals in need.

The Women’s Pregnancy Center, a vital ministry of Mission Church Roswell Street, provides support to expectant mothers in the community, offering counseling, resources, and practical assistance to help them navigate the challenges of pregnancy and early motherhood. Along with offering immediate support, the center is dedicated to providing long-term care, equipping mothers with the resources they need to thrive.

In addition to the Pregnancy Center, Mission Church Roswell Street is deeply invested in supporting the international community, many of whom are new to the area and may face language barriers. Through their ESL ministry, the church offers English language classes to non-native speakers, providing them with the tools they need to succeed and integrate into the community. 

As the church moves forward, it remains committed to reaching Marietta and the surrounding communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. “We believe that everyone has a place here, and we are excited to see how God will use this church to bring hope and transformation to our community,” Pastor Christian said. “We’re just getting started, and the best is yet to come.”

As Mission Church Roswell Street grows, it will continue to focus on being a beacon of hope in Marietta. The church plans to host outreach events, continue expanding its Life Groups, and create new opportunities for people to serve both locally and globally. With the foundation of bold preaching, compassionate care, and a commitment to making disciples, Mission Church is poised to make a lasting impact in the community.
